This week has been busy, but I've managed to
snatch some moments to finish my cardigan,
all but the band, which I'll finish hopefully this weekend
(with help from my mother-in-law).
On Thursday afternoon my busyness suddenly
came to an end.
The house was tidy, and the sun was shining!
So I picked up my crochet again!
What a lovely half an hour -
sitting in the warm sunshiney living room
with my pretty cotton colours!
I actually bought a new deep pink, and some red,
and am starting to add in a pale turquoise too.
So this rug is changing, slowly, slowly.
One day when the squares are joined and the rug is finished
it will sit on one of these cozy olive armchairs.
Right now I'm happy hooking and dreaming
and playing mix and match from one row to the next!
. . .

Your rug is going to be gorgeous! I love the mix of colors you are using. It's wonderful when life slows down enough that we can sit and enjoy things we really love.
Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
Beautiful rug. I don't want to even think about how many ends you've had to sew in making all those color changes!
I love how you are following your folly. I think your rug will be beautiful.
Your yarn colors and crocheting look good enough to eat! Love, love, love!
Beautiful colors. I would love to sit in a nice sunny spot and enjoy working with that pretty yarn.
It's all gorgeous ... and I commend you for keeping such a large basket of yarn so tidy!
Those yarns look pretty in the basket but they are downright cheerful as granny squares. Nice job, thank you for sharing.
Mmmmm, your block look amazing!
Happy Fiber Arts Friday!!
