Vintage Rudolph

This Rudolph book belonged to my aunt when she was young. And maybe my mother too, I guess. She gave it to me recently when she downsized and went through her belongings.

I love the vintage colours

... and the "pop-up action pictures"!

And that some words in the text are underlined in red for emphasis ...

I guess (from my aunt's age) that this book must have been printed around 1950, although the copyright says 1939.

How cute is this little snow-covered house?

"Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!"

The artwork reminds me of the old Max Fleischer cartoon that came out in 1944. Maybe the copyright is for the style of book or something.

It seems to be in really good shape for its age - I would have loved a book like this as a kid.
